This elegant two-story studio is located in a secluded garden with a view of redwood trees from the upstairs balcony, yet it is just a short walk to downtown Arcata.

This elegant two-story cottage is located in a secluded garden with a view of redwood trees from the upstairs balcony, yet it is just a short walk to downtown Arcata. It is light and airy inside, with a sunny private patio, and a charming loft with ladder access upstairs.

The studio has hardwood floors, Oriental carpets, custom cabinets, and original artwork by nationally known artists. There is a built-in queen-size bed in an alcove downstairs, and the upstairs loft has two twin beds.

Arcata is a small university town located between Humboldt Bay and the Arcata Redwood Forest. The spectacular rocky seacoasts, beaches, and forests of Redwood National Park are just to the north. The beautiful clear rivers of the Six Rivers National Forest are both north and south.

Our studio is five blocks west of Redwood Park, three blocks south of Humboldt State University, and six blocks from the Arcata Plaza.

Redwood forests, concerts, restaurants, and movies are all a pleasant walk away. The university brings major entertainment acts for reasonable prices and no parking problems, from Ray Charles to the Tokyo String Quartet.

Arcata has many community events, from the Oyster Festival, to bird watching gatherings, and a lively Saturday Farmer's Market. The Marsh Ponds are world famous for bird watching, and the Community Forest has miles of wild and remote hiking trails.

Driveway parking

The queen bed is a bed alcove with walls on either side. To access the loft you have to go up a ladder. This is a back unit that is very separate from the front unit.
