Charming Historic Craftsman
Size –1 Bedroom • 1 Bathroom 1 Bath • Sleeps 1-2
Walk to Arts Arcata from this adorable apartment and enjoy the local flavor of Arcata.
It's only a short jaunt to my favorite ice cream shop, the Arcata Scoop, with homemade organic ice cream, or to many restaurants downtown. There is a full kitchen for cooking in when you don't want to eat out, and you can cozy up in front of the TV, or sit in the dining nook and soak up the sunshine. From the bedroom you can access the shared covered porch for drinking your morning cup of coffee. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Arcata is a small University town which draws in a lot of music, art and festivals on the Plaza. Some of the big festivals include the Kinetic Sculpture Race and the Oyster Festival. Every Saturday there is a Farmers Market on the Plaza and once a month is Arts Arcata featuring local artists in local businesses. There are shows that come through to perform at the Van Duzer Theater and the Arcata Playhouse, plus many other venues. If you miss the Oyster Festival you can always go find oysters at the restaurants around town, plus we have many local breweries with wonderful craft beer.
The area around Arcata has beautiful, scenic coastlines and hiking. You can hike along the coast, or in the majestic redwoods. Arcata has nice hiking in the Arcata Community Forest, or you can head north to Redwood National and State Parks, or south the Humboldt Redwoods State Park.
